Toyota’s New bZ3 Electric Sedan
Toyota recently announced the production of the bZ3 electric sedan, the first electric sedan from the company. It will be built in China by a joint venture between Toyota and FAW. The vehicle will come with a rear-wheel-drive system and a 244-horsepower electric motor. Toyota has also committed to invest another $2.5 billion in a new battery plant in the US. The company plans to produce as many as 15 zero-emission vehicles by 2025.
The bZ3 is based on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform, which will allow it to reach 100 mph. It will be available in China in 2023 and the rest of the world in 2024. Toyota says it hopes to sell more than half of its zero-emission vehicles by that time.
The bZ3 has a strikingly low curvy bonnet and sleek headlamps with L-shaped lenses. The car also features an intake in the chin. The bZ3’s shape also resembles the Toyota hydrogen-powered Mirai. It also features flush door handles and a low-drag design.
The Toyota bZ3 is expected to be built on the e-TNGA platform and will have two trim levels. The vehicle is expected to have a range of at least 220 miles. It is unclear how much power the car will have, but it should be enough to get you by in most cities. Moreover, the bZ3 will be priced competitively with the Camry in several markets.
The Toyota bZ3 sedan has been spotted on the official website of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as part of a group of 30 electric concept cars. The bZ3 shares some similarities with the Toyota bZ4X concept from last year. Both cars feature large side windows that let plenty of light into the cabin.
It is not known when the bZ3 will be available to the public, but it is expected to debut at the Guangzhou Motor Show in November. It is expected to be the first electric car in Toyota’s new lineup. Its production is expected to start by selling in China in November.
The Toyota bZ3 electric sedan is expected to come with a battery pack that can produce up to 183 horsepower. It will have two-wheel drive capabilities and a regenerative braking system. The bZ3 will also have automatic emergency braking and lane-departure warning. The bZ3 is set to cost around CNY 200,000. It will be available as a hybrid or all-electric model.
The Toyota bZ3 will join the bZ4X electric sedan in Toyota’s lineup. It is expected to have similar styling cues as its predecessor, such as a large windshield, a prominent LED light bar in front, and large side windows. It will also feature a short rear boot. The bZ3 sedan will be about 186 inches long and weigh less than two tons.
The bZ3 electric sedan will use the same e-TNGA platform as the bZ4X. It will have one motor that delivers 183 horsepower to the front wheels and 274 horsepower to the rear. It will also have a new interior. Like the bZ4X, the bZ3 will have a touchscreen and digital instrument console. It is expected to debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show next November.
